What is PERCENTRANK.EXC function in Excel?

The PERCENTRANK.EXC function is one of the Statistical functions of Excel.

It returns the rank of a value in a data set as a percentage of the data set as a percentage (0..1, exclusive) of the data set.

We can find this function in Statistical of insert function Tab.

How to use PERCENTRANK.EXC function in excel

  1. Click on an empty cell (like F5).

3. In the insert function tab you will see all functions.

4. Select STATISTICAL category.

5. Select PERCENTRANK.EXC function.

6. Then select ok.

7. In the function arguments Tab you will see PERCENTRANK.EXC function.

8. Array is the array or range of data with numeric values that define relative standing.

9. X is the value for which you want to know the rank.

10. Significance is an optional value that identifies the number of significant digits for the returned percentage, three digits if omitted (0.xxx%).

11. You will see the results in the formula result section.
