What is PERCENTILE.EXC function in Excel?


The PERCENTILE.EXC function is one of the Statistical functions of Excel.

It returns the k-th percentile of values in a range, where k is in the range 0..1, exclusive.

We can find this function in Statistical of insert function Tab.

How to use PERCENTILE.EXC function in excel

  1. Click on an empty cell (like F5).

2. Click on the fx icon (or press shift+F3).

3. In the insert function tab you will see all functions.

4. Select STATISTICAL category.

5. Select PERCENTILE.EXC function.

6. Then select ok.

7. In the function arguments Tab you will see PERCENTILE.EXC function.

8. Array is the array or range of data that defines relative standing.

9. K is the percentile value that is between 0 through 1, inclusive.

10. You will see the results in the formula result section.
