## What is FIXED function in Excel?

The **FIXED **function is one of the **TEXT** functions of Excel.

It Rounds a number to the **specified number** of decimals and returns the result as text with or without commas.

We can find this function in **TEXT** category of the insert function Tab.

## How to use FIXED function in excel

- Click on an empty cell (like F5).

2. Click on the **fx icon **(or press shift+F3).

3. In the **insert function tab** you will see all functions.

4. Select **TEXT **category.

5. Select **FIXED **function

6. Then select **ok**.

7. In function arguments Tab you will see **FIXED **function.

8. Number section is the number you want to **round **and convert to text.

9. Decimals section is the **number of digits** to the right of the decimal point. If omitted, Decimals = 2.

10. No commas section is a **logical value**: do not display commas in the returned text = TRUE; do display commas in the returned text = FALSE or omitted.

11. You will see the **results **in the formula result section.
